Just another day....

just walked into work, spent most of the night digging through my disaster area trying to get a off brand video card to work. if anyone has dealt with the matrox g450 dualhed and w2k, and has nothing but bsods, let me know....

Work holds my attention...

well, Work has sucessfully held my attention for 8 months. Thats a new record for me. Normally I get ticked and throw a fit at something in the first few weeks. I used to be a certified workaholic, I would spend upwards of 18 - 20 hours at my old job (computer support for a college here in WI) because hey, when it's only two guys supporting 300 faculty and 20 labs ranging in scope from business to ag to computer science with 800+ computers, there's a lot of ground to cover. I loved my job. then I screwed up and got fired. That pretty well disolusioned me to ever working that hard again. Wandered around for a bit until I finished college then worked odd jobs doing consultant work for a few years. I then got approached by my recruiter from teksystems to work on a contract to permanent position with TDS Metrocom based in Madison, WI. I now fix phone service for Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Minnisota, and North Dakota.
